Daughters hold monthly social
JAY — Daughters of Isabella 677 from St. Roe of Lima held its monthly social Sept. 28.
The September social committee provided pasta with meatballs and sauce, along with tossed salad.
Desserts were different flavored squares with ice cream.
Eva Henry won a blueberry candle assortment in a raffle.
Celebration Barn receives grant
PARIS — The Maine Arts Commission has awarded Celebration Barn Theater in South Paris an Organizational Development Grant for $3,100 to add a part-time outreach and development position to its administrative staff.
SeniorsPlus office hours
FARMINGTON — SeniorsPlus will hold office hours at its satellite location at 218 Fairbanks Road on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Visitors should call 1-800-427-1241 to schedule an appointment.
Walk-in hours are from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month. Staff will be on hand to answer questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.
These services are free and open to the public.

Tailgate party set for Oct. 7
FARMINGTON — The 20th Annual Mt. Blue Football Tailgate Party will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Mt. Blue High School.
Menu includes half-chicken meal for $6.50, a quarter-pound hamburger or two hot dogs for $5. All include coleslaw, chips, a brownie and drink.
Seating is available. Tickets may be purchased from all Mt. Blue High School football players, Shelly’s Hometown Market in East Wilton, and Madore’s Market in West Farmington.

AVSWCD supervisor nomination papers due Oct. 7
Nomination papers from those running as a district supervisor for the Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District must be received by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.
They should be complete with 25 signatures of registered voters in Androscoggin or Sagadahoc counties.
Those wishing to vote in the election should contact the district to receive a ballot, which will be made available at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14.
