NORWAY — The Center for an Ecology-Based Economy will host an energy-efficiency forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at 447 Main St.

The event is part of Energy Action Month.

The forum will focus on Efficiency Maine rebate programs, methods to make homes comfortable, healthy and energy efficient, and information about the Sierra Club’s Climate Action Teams.

According to its website, the Sierra Club is Maine’s “largest and most powerful volunteer grass-roots environmental organization.” Its Climate Action Teams are described as groups of volunteers who “implement climate solutions” in local communities throughout the state, whether it’s solar panels on school or town buildings or “opposing dirty energy projects.”

CEBE said on its website that attendees will also hear from residents of Oxford Hills who have weatherized their homes.

The public forum will tie in with a “roadshow exhibition” at the Norway Memorial Library. The exhibition, organized by the Sierra Club, showcases tips and tricks for energy savings. The exhibition will run until Oct. 22.

For more information on the forum, call the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy at 739-2101.
