AUBURN – Marianne Mason was recently promoted to vice president/compliance officer at Mechanics Savings Bank. In this position, Mason will administer programs that ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. She also will serve as the CRA officer, ensuring that the bank meets the credit needs of the community under the Community Reinvestment Act.

Since beginning her banking career at Mechanics Savings Bank in 1989, Mason has held numerous positions including teller, customer service representative, loan servicing supervisor and AVP compliance officer. In addition, she has participated in numerous banking industry seminars and conferences.

Mason is actively involved in the Central Maine Medical Center Associates. She resides in Lewiston with her husband, Dennis.
