AUGUSTA – The IRS is offering a free event April 28 for organizations that serve small businesses. The forums will be via video-conference, connecting to sites across Maine. Representatives from the Internal Revenue Service, U.S Department of Labor, Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, SCORE, Maine Small Business Development Centers and other government agencies and small business service provider organizations will be available.
At least one person from an organization is invited to attend. Much of the forum is a roundtable small businesses issues will be discussed. Issues should be provided with contact information, submitted under the Issues/Concerns/Questions area of the contact information.
Respond with attendance and issues either by e-mailing [email protected] or by calling Shawn Savage at 1-888-351-5223 no later than the close of business on April 24 and provide the following information: Name of attendee, name of organization, location (where attending – Lewiston, Rumford, Farmington), e-mail address, phone number, issues/concerns/questions, and topics you would like to see discussed.
Registration and networking at all sites, 12:30-1 p.m., with the program from 1-4. Receiving sites are: Lewiston High School, 156 East Ave., Lewiston, ATM room V120; Mountain Valley High School, 799 Hancock St., Rumford, ATM room; and Mount Blue High School, 219 Seamon Road, Farmington, ATM room.
