AUBURN – Mechanics Savings Bank recently hired Van L. Perry as vice president/commercial loan officer. Serving customers from the Minot Avenue in Auburn branch, Perry oversees commercial banking relationships and provides small business banking solutions in the Lewiston/Auburn business community.
With more than 20 years’ experience in banking, Perry most recently served as a senior business banker at KeyBank. Prior to that, he was a regional vice president at Northeast Bank, and a senior commercial loan officer at the Finance Authority of Maine.
Perry is a graduate of the University of Maine, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in resource economics, as well as an international business certificate. He holds a banking certificate from the New England School of Banking at Williams College, and is a graduate of the Androscoggin Leadership Development Institute.
Perry is vice president of the board of directors for the Nezinscot Guild in Turner and is a member of the board of directors for the Regional Development Corporation in Winthrop, the Readfield Planning Board, and the Auburn/Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club.
Married with two boys, Perry resides with his family in Readfield.
