TURNER — The wedding of Ruth Lough and Warren Varney was held on Aug. 27 at River Meadows Farm.

Mrs. Varney is the daughter of Kimberly Fenner-Slaughter. Mr. Varney is the son of Dr. David and Patricia Varney.

Erika Johnson was maid of honor and Sam Smith was best man.

The couple traveled to Bar Harbor for their wedding trip and currently reside in Turner.

The bride is currently a student at Logan University, working on her doctorate in chiropractic and has been a licensed massage therapist for the past five years.

The bridegroom is currently a student at Logan University, working on his doctorate in chiropractic and is also working as the biochemistry teacher’s assistant there. He is a graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in biology.
