LEWISTON – Judith Andrucki and Sarah Mitchell announce the formation of a new partnership dedicated to family law. Andrucki and Mitchell bring together more than 30 years of collective family law expertise to help individuals with domestic dispute issues.
A specialist in family law, Andrucki received her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 1979 and practiced with the firm of Marshall, Raymond and Beliveau, as well as its successor firm, Isaacson & Raymond, until she formed her own firm of Hark Andrucki. In 1991, in addition to practicing law, she supervised the family law clinic and taught family law at the University of Maine School of Law. She is a member of the family law section of the Maine Bar Association and has presented numerous continuing legal education programs on issues concerning the litigation of custody disputes, alternate dispute resolution and mediation, the role of the guardian ad litem, and the determination of employability and income capacity. In 1997, Gov. Angus King appointed Andrucki to serve on the University of Maine System board of trustees, where she served two full terms, concluding in 2007. She also serves as a mediator and referee with respect to family law disputes.
Sarah Mitchell received her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2002, with honors in trial advocacy.
Prior to forming Andrucki & Mitchell, she practiced at Skelton, Taintor and Abbott, where she began to focus on family law, including divorce, parental rights and post-judgment cases. She is a member of the Androscoggin County Bar Association and the Maine State Bar Association, where she is also a member of the women’s law and the family law sections.
