LEWISTON – Parent Insurance Agency, 59 East Ave., a United Insurance Group Agency, announces the promotion of Ron Guerin to senior vice president and agency manager.

Guerin, a lifelong resident of the area, lives in Lewiston. He is a member of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the executive committee for the Lewiston/Auburn 911 Call Center. A lifelong hockey fan, Guerin also serves as the risk manager and billet coordinator for the Lewiston MAINEiacs, and was awarded the Bernard Just Trophy (awarded to the most valuable member of the organization) in 2004. Most recently, Guerin, with 40 other business leaders from the Androscoggin and Cumberland County areas, accepted a position to the host committee for the collaborative bid proposal effort of the Lewiston MAINEiacs and Portland Pirates to host the 2009 MasterCard Memorial Cup Hockey Championship.
