LEWISTON – Cardiologist Dervilla McCann, M.D., of Auburn, has been named medical director of cardiology services at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. In that capacity, she will be advising the hospital on vision, programming, quality measurement and operations of its heart-related services.
A graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, McCann attained her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Her internal medicine residency took place at New York University Medical Center Bellevue Hospital in New York City, and a fellowship in cardiology was completed at the San Diego Naval Hospital.
McCann has practiced cardiology in Auburn since 1999 as part of Androscoggin Cardiology Associates. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and cardiology.
