LEWISTON – The Lewiston CareerCenter announces the November workshop schedule and speakers for the Unemployed Professionals Group.

The CareerCenter hosts the group every Monday from 1-4 p.m.

Upcoming programs are:

Nov. 5: “Memorable Speaking Part I,” Kathleen Szostek and Rita Myrick, Lewiston/Auburn Toastmasters.

Nov. 12: Holiday, no meeting

Nov. 19: “Memorable Speaking Part II,” Lewiston/Auburn Toastmasters

Nov. 26: “How to Conduct an Effective Job Search,” Heather Bannister, Employment Times

Registration is not required for the Unemployed Professionals Group.

The Lewiston/Auburn Area Unemployed Professionals Group provides support, resources, and networking opportunities for unemployed and underemployed professionals while providing employers with a valuable talent pool from which to recruit and hire.

A job club meets at the CareerCenter every Monday from 10 a.m.-12 noon.

Topics vary but focus on job search strategy and skills, networking and information sharing.

Registration is not required for the Job Club.

Other workshops offered at the CareerCenter include: Job Search Skills; Career Decision Making; On-Line Applications, Interviewing Skills, and Writing a Resume.
