AUGUSTA — John would have been 49 today.
He was born Dec. 18, 1967, the son of Roland Chabot and the late Claire Chabot.
He passed away from heart failure at the Augusta General Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 10, with family by his side.
He is survived by his dad, Roland; stepmother, Bonnie; sister, Kathy; nephews, Scot and Philip; stepsister, Carol Dalton of New Hampshire; and stepbrother, Gerald Dion of Winthrop. He was close to his cousin Richard of Washington, D.C.
In his younger years, he would listen to the scanner and be the first on the scenes of fires and accidents. His business was Central Maine News.
He also leaves behind his very close friend, Reny Bilodeau of Lewiston and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was very proud to be a mentor to Dekota Clark, 11, of Sanford and Nate Clark, 17, of Auburn. He always considered these boys to be sons.
