1930 – 2016

NORTH DANVILLE, Vt. — Anna M. (Turbide) Filby of North Danville, Vt., passed away Friday, Dec. 16, after a short bout with cancer.

She was born May 3, 1930, in Rumford, to Gustave and Stella (Glover) Turbide. Anna had 11 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Lawrence L. Filby; they were married on Oct. 29, 1977. Also surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline A. Cote and husband, James M. Cote; four grandsons and their families, Scott and Taja Walton of Dixfield, Kris and Leslie Walton of Rangeley, Bruce Walton of Mexico and Jason Walton of Rumford; three great-grandchildren, Stone Walton of Rangeley, Brianna Walton of Rumford and Bruce Walton of Florida. She also leaves behind three sisters, one brother, many nieces and nephews and many great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Ivan Wing; her parents; and eight siblings.

Funeral and burial arrangements will be determined at a later date.
