AUBURN – Community Concepts’ Finders/Seekers Child Care Development Resource Center recently received notice it was awarded a quality assurance designation from the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies.

Finders/Seekers provides free child care referrals to parents in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties, as well as training and support to child care providers. Parents receive referrals to licensed child care homes and facilities in their area, and access to other helpful information.

The association collects data on and researches child care throughout the United States, as well as provides training and technical support to programs such as Finders/Seekers. After an extensive review process, NACCRRA issued the designation to Finders/Seekers effective March 2007 through March 2010.

Finders/Seekers offers professional development for child care providers, information to employers and other activities designed to meet the needs of the community. Parents may access child care referrals through a visit to the Community Concepts office at 79 Main St., Auburn, online at www.community-concepts.org or by calling 795-4065.
