AUBURN — Rangeley pitched a shutout in overtime to down Greater Portland Christian, 39-32, in a Class D South boys’ basketball game played at Central Maine Community College on Monday.

Carl Trafton led the Lakers (4-9) with 14 points, Kyle LaRochelle pitched in with nine and Richard Thompson had eight.

Ethan Spaulding paced the Lions (1-11) with 13 points, and Mason Jones added eight.

Pine Tree 52, Buckfield 41

BUCKFIELD — Visiting Pine Tree Academy gradually kept building its lead before host Buckfield tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Breakers from securing a 52-41 victory in boys’ basketball action.

Alex Schlisner led four Pine Tree (4-5) players in double figures, with 16. Billy Alcime poured in 11, and both Jayy Jean-Louis and Jared Tamaleaa added 10.

Ethan Jackson was the Bucks’ (5-9) high scorer, with 13, and Zack Grover was right behind with 12.

Girls’ Basketball

Rangeley 58, Greater Portland Christian 15

AUBURN — Natasha Haley scored a game-high 25 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, to lead Rangeley to a 58-15 victory over Greater Portland Christian in a game played at Central Maine Community College.

Sydney Royce added 15 points for the Lakers (11-2). Aubrey Viekman led the Lions (3-9) with seven points, while Grace Mears added six.

Pine Tree 31, Buckfield 19

BUCKFIELD — Alex Goodman had 15 points to lead Pine Tree Academy to a 31-19 victory in girls’ basketball action.

Eight of her points came in the third quarter, where the Breakers (7-2) opened the game up with a 12-3 run in the period.

Seneca Jacobs led the Bucks (2-12) with seven points.

Mt. Abram 44, Carrabec 22

STRONG — Lindsay Huff and Summer Ross both scored in double figures to help Mt. Abram double up visiting Carrabec, 44-22, in Class C South girls’ basketball action on Monday.

Huff dropped in a game-high 16 points, while Ross added 11 for the Roadrunners (7-5).

Bailey Dunphy led the Cobras (3-10) with nine points.
