RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce are presenting another business Lunch and Learn opportunity. The fifth informational seminar in the six-month series is “QuickBooks Overview – Intermediate.”
The seminar will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St., Rumford. Cost is $10 and includes lunch. River Valley Chamber of Commerce members pay only $8. Prepayment is required; there will be no refunds issued. This session is aimed at individuals and businesses who already use QuickBooks and know the basics.
More advanced features of Quick Books will be explored. Items covered will include budgets/projections, customizing reports, in-depth view of the use of items/services in conjunction with billing rate level function and processing credit cards. After attending this session, attendees will be able to set up and utilize the budget/projection function and customize reports. Use of the billing rate level function, in conjunction with items/services, will also be covered, and those attending will learn the ease and cost effectiveness of processing credit cards directly in Quick Books.
The seminar’s presenter, Kelly O. Newkirk, is a certified public accountant in the Bethel area. She provides a variety of services including QuickBooks consulting, implementation and support. She has used QuickBooks for seven years and has been a QuickBooks trainer for three years.
The Lunch and Learn seminars are intended to provide information to entrepreneurs, startups and existing businesses in an affordable way. Anyone may gather resources and information for long-term success. In addition, the seminars are intended to facilitate networking among businesses or entrepreneurs in similar activities.
