1937 – 2017

ORONO — Rolande Margarite Jacques, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, at an Orono health care facility.

She was born Sept. 9, 1937, in Lewiston, daughter of Romeo and Anna (Gagne) Jacques.

An excellent seamstress, she was window fashion certified and had her own business “Window Design Etc.” in Cape Elizabeth where she worked for some of the top interior designers in the United States.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia and her husband, Brett Bonnet, of White Plains, Md., and Gerilyn Bosse and her wife, Denise Hewes, of Old Town; grandchildren, Anna and her husband, Jacob Namyst, Daniel, Aimee, Samuel and Stephen Bonnet; two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Milo Namyst; and two brothers, Albert Jacques of Tillamook, Ore., and Normand Jacques of Auburn.

She was predeceased by two infant sons, James and Daniel.
