NORWAY – Robert Hand, an EMT-paramedic, has been appointed as director of PACE Ambulance Service, according to M. Patricia Cook, Western Maine Health’s vice president of clinical service.
Hand served as assistant vice president of operations at North East Mobile Health Services in Portland, focusing on handling ambulance calls as well as administrative duties, earlier.
Originally from the area, he graduated from Telstar Regional High School, and held EMS positions with Bethel and Tri Town prior to moving to Portland. He received his EMT-Paramedic designation after graduating from Kennebec Valley Technical College and has been working in management for several years.
He lives in Portland with his wife, Bethany Hill Hand, and their son Emmett, but the family is interested in moving back to the Oxford Hills region.
