Farmington – Stephen Kelleher has been appointed program director at Healthy Community Coalition, according to Leah Binder, executive director.

Kelleher will be responsible for overseeing several programs within the coalition, including the new Healthy Communities Access Project for implementing electronic pharmaceutical prescribing in Franklin County. Additional responsibilities will include oversight of grants administration and planning.

With more than 25 years of health care management experience in hospitals and health benefit companies, Kelleher most recently Kelleher was the network contractor for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine.

Kelleher’s immediate plans are to update the coalition’s strategic plan and work with funding sources to ensure that financial support is in place for continuing the coalition’s mission of promoting health and well-being in Franklin County and neighboring towns.

Kelleher has a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and a master’s degree in hospital and health care administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
