Auburn – The Women’s Business Center at Coastal Enterprises Inc. and Maine Small Business Development Center announces two Internet workshops for small business owners, to be held in Auburn.

The first is Evaluating the Effectiveness of Your Web site from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 6 at Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments, 125 Manley Road, Auburn.

Instructor Marita Fairfield, business counselor for the Women’s Business Center at CEI, will tell participants how to get useful unbiased feedback about how well your Web site is working for your business. Discussions will also cover how to understand who visits your Web site by using techniques such as traffic statistics, e-mail responses and online contests. Cost: $20

The second is Marketing and Promoting Your Web site from 1-4 p.m. on April 7, same location. In this workshop, Fairfield will instruct participants about what is involved in getting a site listed on search engines, find free links, and how to use both Web site and non-Web site promotion tools to increase Web business. There will be discussion on developing a Web site marketing budget and tracking the effectiveness of marketing efforts, as well. Cost: $20
