AUBURN – Attorney Curtis Webber of Auburn was one of the speakers at a seminar on zoning and land use law last week at Holiday Inn By The Bay in Portland.

Webber discussed the requirements of making findings of fact imposed on local municipal boards by the Maine Supreme Court in a case involving a building site for a new proposed Wal-Mart store in Bangor.

Webber also addressed the subject of nonconforming issues, which involves the use of property in a manner inconsistent with local zoning restrictions.

Webber has for many years concentrated a substantial portion of his law practice on municipal law. He is the senior partner in the law firm of Linnell, Choate and Webber. He is former chairman of the Municipal Law Section of the Maine Bar Association and a co-chair of the Regional Organization of Municipal Attorneys.
