LEWISTON – Richard W. Gilbert has been named an officer in the Loan Operations Department at Banknorth Group Inc. in Lewiston.

In his role as loan operations supervisor, he will continue to be responsible for managing a team charged with gathering documentation necessary to sell residential loans to various investors.

A South Paris resident, Gilbert joined Banknorth in 2000 and has five years in banking. He is a 1984 graduate of Oxford Hills High School.
