AUBURN – Purchasing and Supply Management professionals in Maine will gather Thursday, Feb. 5, at Central Maine Community College for an ISM Satellite Seminar. The organization will explore major cost reductions and process flow improvements in manufacturing and services delivery through improved logistics.

The program will be broadcast to more than 100 affiliate sites nationally and features Scott A. Elliff, president of Capital Consulting and Management, Alexandria, Va., as main presenter. Panelists include Richard Henderson, vice president of Strategic Procurement and Travel Services, Limited Brands; Dennis M. Gawlick, former director of global procurement, Seattle Coffee Co.; and Gordon MacMahon, manager of Supply Management Operation, USPS.

This program, hosted by ISM affiliate NAPM-Maine Inc., will examine how transportation, warehousing, handling and information systems are integrated in the logistics field, and how they can be better integrated with supply management to deliver significant results.

Attendees will have the opportunity to call, e-mail and fax questions to the panel during each of the four one-hour segments of the seminar. Panelists engage in answer and discussion sessions at the end of each segment addressing the participants’ queries.
