AUGUSTA – The Maine Small Business Development Center is offering an evening workshop on planning and starting a small business on Dec. 3. The workshop is hosted by CEI at the Mid Coast Council for Business Development and Planning.

Brad Swanson, certified senior business counselor with the Maine SBDC at CEI, and Jim Burbank, certified senior business counselor with the Maine SBDC at the University of Southern Maine, will present the workshop.

The workshop is for individuals who do not currently have a business, but would like to know more about starting one. It will provide valuable tips for successful business planning, and step-by-step instructions for business start-up in Maine.

The workshop will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Merrill Meeting Room, Curtis Memorial Library, Middle Street, Brunswick. There is a $10 fee per individual for this workshop.
