AUGUSTA – The Internal Revenue Service and Maine Revenue Services are hosting a free electronic filing seminar for tax preparers interested in learning the in’s and out’s of electronic filing. The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at Thomas College, Laurette Ayotte Auditorium, 108 West River Road, Waterville.

The seminar will provide information on the enrollment process, business e-file options and electronic payment options. It will also address questions on record keeping, signature requirements and much more. In addition, a panel of colleagues, experienced in e-file, will discuss the benefits for clients and share tips on how they have successfully incorporated these systems into their offices.
