Jody R. Roux
1974 – 2009
STRONG – Jody R. Roux, 35, of Strong, went home to be with the Lord on, Saturday, Aug. 29, after a long, valiant and courageous battle with brain cancer. He died at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1974, in Farmington. He attended Strong Elementary School and graduated from Mt. Abram High School in 1992. He went on to take classes at UMA and UVM. He moved to Burlington, Vt., in the early 90s and worked as a fleet manager at Thrifty. He later moved to Jacksonville, Fla., and worked as an insurance lease inspector for SGS until 2004, when he moved back home to Strong.
Jody had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. His remarkable sense of humor was his trademark. To know Jody was to adore Jody.
He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, golfing, motorcycles, anything with a motor and get-togethers with family and friends. His passion in life was his beloved children. They were the light of his life and his pride and joy.
Jody’s beloved and loving family survive him, his children, Avery Elizabeth and Tanner Joshua Roux of Bradenton, Fla.; parents, Michael and Theresa Parker of Strong; a sister, Kimberly Hutchins, her husband, Jeff and their children, Sawyer and Cameron of Danvers, Mass.; an aunt, Charlotte Nadeau of Manchester; cousin, Blyn Nadeau of Bingham; an aunt, Joyce Sabins of Augusta; a great-aunt, Kitty Mayfield of Skowhegan.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Merle and Cassie Johnson of Phillips.
