AUGUSTA (AP) – A Maine native is coordinating events for the upcoming presidential inauguration for President-elect Barack Obama.
Thirty-two-year-old Emmett Beliveau is heading the Presidential Inaugural Committee that’s working on the inaugural celebration, to be held Jan. 20 in Washington.
During the presidential campaign, Beliveau served as the Obama campaign’s director of advance.
Beliveau is the son of prominent Augusta lawyer and lobbyist Severin Beliveau and a graduate of Colby College and Georgetown University Law School.
