BIDDEFORD (AP) – Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that gutted a popular ice cream shop and restaurant in Biddeford.
The Dairy Queen Brazier on Route 1 went up in flames at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, after it had closed for the night. Nobody was hurt.
Firefighters had the fire under control within 20 minutes, but the building sustained such heavy damage that officials said they wouldn’t be surprised it was declared a total loss.
