AUGUSTA (AP) – An associate in an Augusta law firm will work as a clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Patrick Strawbridge, an associate in the Preti Flaherty firm, was chosen in October 2006 and begins the one-year clerkship this July.

Strawbridge is a Kittery native who lives in North Yarmouth.

, completed a one-year clerkship with Howard Dana of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court after law school, and later clerked for Morris Sheppard Arnold of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He graduated in the top of his class at Creighton University School of Law in 2004.
