ELIOT (AP) – Two sisters from Rochester, N.H., were indicted in the beating and kidnapping of another woman near the Indian Rivers Campground.
Grand jurors in York County Superior Court found cause to charge Brittany Hatch, 21, and Ebony Hill, 25, with felony aggravated assault and kidnapping. Their alleged victim is a 21-year-old Dover, N.H., woman whom authorities say was acquainted with Hatch.
In August, the two sisters drove the woman to Maine against her will, where they kicked her and smashed her head with a rock, police said.
Eliot Police Chief Ted Short said Hatch believed the Dover woman had been involved in the state’s removal of her children from her home.
