LIVERMORE FALLS – Police charged a Jay man with burglary and theft Sunday in connection with a Gagnon Street break-in after someone reported seeing him leaving the house Friday.

Lt. Thomas Gould issued Chad Stewart, 26, a summons for felony burglary and misdemeanor theft, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

The Gagnon Street resident was away at the time and reported the break-in on Saturday morning, he said.

Someone saw the suspect leaving the house at 5 p.m. Friday and reported it, the chief said.

A DVD player was stolen from on top of the television, he said.

It was the fourth time the house been broken into, he said.

DVDs, valued at approximately $150, were taken from the residence on Wednesday, the chief said last week.

Stewart is only facing charges in the most recent burglary, the chief said.
