NEW VINEYARD – Two boys face charges after they were accused of shooting out windows with a BB gun at a house and a truck Sunday on New Vineyard Road.

Franklin County Sheriff Deputy Ken Charles charged each of the juveniles, 12 and 15, both from New Vineyard, with criminal mischief, Lt. Niles Yeaton said.

On May 8, Deputy Christopher Chase investigated a similar BB shooting at the victim’s home where the rear window of another vehicle parked there was shot out. A hen chicken was also hit and had to be destroyed, Yeaton said.

The boys admitted to Sunday’s incident but denied being involved with the May 8 one, he said.

Police estimate the damage for both incidents at $1,005, Yeaton said.
