FARMINGTON – Spring improvements continue for the Parks and Recreation Department.
After the foundation of the gazebo in Meetinghouse Park was fixed, a drop tile ceiling was installed over the stage at the Farmington Community Center this week, said Steve Shible, director.
With large water stains on an old, yellowed ceiling, Shible had sought approval for the project for the past few years.
Matt Smith of STIX Builders, an Auburn firm, put in the ceiling grid Monday and added the tiles on Tuesday, he said.
The project costs just under $2,300, he added.
On Thursday morning, Smith also painted and touched up portions of the ceiling over the main floor that had received water damage this winter, Shible said.
