FARMINGTON – Three vehicles were involved in a crash around 8 a.m. Wednesday on snowy Route 27.
Brookes Lambert, 21, and passenger Ryan Ellis, 26, both of Farmington, were turning from Fairbanks Road onto Route 27 when her car started to swerve, a witness told police. She couldn’t regain control before going into the southbound lane where she collided with a vehicle driven by Jeanne Rose, 37, of Kingfield. The driver of another vehicle following behind Rose did not have time to stop and tried to avoid Rose but hit the back of her vehicle. The third vehicle was driven by Denise Lilly, 22, of Kingfield.
Minor injuries were treated at the scene by NorthStar attendants, said police Officer Matthew Brann of the Farmington Police Department.
Lambert was driving a 1996 Suzuki and Rose was driving a 2001 Nissan. Both were towed. Lilly was able to drive her vehicle from the scene.
Brann estimated damage at approximately $6,500 to the Suzuki, $7,000 to the Nissan and $2,000 to Lilly’s vehicle.
Farmington Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
