RANGELEY PLANTATION – Jarod Trafton, 22, of Rangeley Plantation, was killed early Saturday morning when the pickup truck he was driving left South Shore Drive, and crashed into some trees before rolling over into a ditch, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Trafton, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The accident occurred approximately a half-mile from Route 4.

Deputy Aaron Turcotte is investigating the crash.
