KINGFIELD – Sonya Dearborn has expanded her North Main Street seedling business, The Potting Shed, to include a gift shop filled with items for the home and garden.
Dearborn, a Kingfield resident, has stocked wind chimes, garden accessories, bird feeders, kitchen linens, rugs and gourmet food items, as well as Christmas items.
“The wreaths have been a hot-seller this season,” Dearborn said recently, “and people seem to like the selection of Christmas ornaments and other items.”
The wreaths are made locally, she added, and there are numerous other Maine items in the shop.
Dearborn opened the gift shop doors about a month ago. She is also offering gift baskets and a gift-wrapping service for people who wish to bring their gifts in to her.
The Potting Shed gift shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
