A bee heads toward a 6-foot-tall cluster of Moerheim Beauties in the yard of John and Jane Chester at Maplewood Road in Lewiston on Wednesday afternoon. The retired couple transplanted the plants from their previous home in Wiscassett. The plant is not seen in abundance in Maine, so John used some to barter with a neighbor for items in their garden that he transplanted into his. “My wife and I work as a team in the garden, it’s a lot of work, but is very rewarding.”
