Bethel’s annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 19, offers arts and crafts, a chowdah cook-off, apple pie contest and musical performances on the gazebo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Here is the lineup for artists: Al Mallory, original music combined with cover favorites, 11 a.m.; Brad Hooper, above, whose recent CD of original music, “Midnight at the Hilltop Hotel,” has been receiving airplay, noon; US, featuring Jo Plummer & Bob Gauthier, a duo with an extensive repertoire, 1 p.m.; John Hooper, singer-songwriter with a soulful delivery, 2 p.m.; Jim McLaughlin, pianist and vocalist who plays standards, originals, jazz, blues and rock ’n’ roll, 3 p.m. Music festivities will be hosted by Jewel Clark with supporting musical enhancements throughout the day provided by Donnie Katlin.
