GREENE — Staff at the Town Office are getting ready to move to temporary offices at the fire station following the recent vote to build a new town office.

Thursday will be the last day of business at the old town office. Staff will move to the fire station at 106 Patten Road for the next six months as the new town office is constructed. The town voted two weeks ago to spend $570,000 for a new municipal building.

The staff will be ready for business at the new, temporary location starting Monday. Hours will remain the same, as will be the telephone number. Officials are expecting to be in their new building by mid-March of 2010.
