Workshops
NEW GLOUCESTER — The Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26, will offer the following workshops and demonstration on Saturday, July 18:
Learn how to make beads woven from paper that will have many uses from jewelry to ornaments at a workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Materials will be provided and the fee is $20. Preregistration is required.
A “Freedom Basket,” a multi-colored reed basket, will be made by participants who attend a workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Materials will be provided and the fee is $45. Preregistration is required.
The R and R Spinners will demonstrate spinning techniques with various materials beginning at 10 a.m. The demonstration is free and open to the public.

HS meeting
POLAND — The members of the Poland Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at the home of
Mary and Sonny Chipman. A tour of the
Farm Museum will be conducted followed by a potluck supper. A short business meeting
will follow.
Those
