Freshman night
LISBON — Lisbon High School will host Freshman Night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the high school
library.
Freshman Night is a program that provides both parents and students
an opportunity to learn about academic planning, including the
importance of building a solid four-year plan that is tailored to
student interests and current career goals. In addition, the program
will review strategies and techniques to improve academic skills and
communication between parent, school and child to assist in both high
school and post-secondary success.
The Guidance office encourages participation from both parents and students in this program.
Bible club
AUBURN — A children’s Bible Club for ages 5 to 12 will kickoff from
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Marston’s Corner Baptist

Grange meeting
AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the hall,
for Legislative Night. The program is sponsored
by the Legislative Committee, and several political candidates are
expected to be present. Refreshments will be served at the close of the
meeting. All members and guests are invited to attend.
Zumba
TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education will offer two five-week Zumba classes. The first class will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Oct. 22. Another class will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesdays, starting Oct. 27. Zumba routines feature interval training sessions where slow
rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. Limited spaces
are available. To sign up, call 225-3478 or stop by the office at 486 Turner Center Rd.
OES meeting
AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St. Stephanie J. Dupal, grand conductress, will condcuct the chapter’s official visitation. Pine Cone has the Travel Emblem for District 4. All Eastern Star members are welcome. Refreshments will be served in the dining hall following the meeting.
