PHILLIPS — Selectmen will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, to open bids on the road repairs on Wheeler Hill Road and Tory Hill Road. As of about noon Monday, no bids had been received, Town Manager Jim Collins said.
Fifteen companies have taken out packets, he said. Bids are due by 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
The town is eligible to receive money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to fix the roads damaged over the June 27 weekend by heavy rain.
The work includes replacing washed out gravel, washed out pavement and re-establishing ditches, Town Manager Jim Collins said.
