AUBURN – Everett Wesley Hutchins, 79, of Rumford, passed away on May 18, at the Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Lewiston, on June 7, 1929, the son of Charles E. Hutchins and Beatrice B. Prout. He was a member of the Grange of Rumford Center and the Eagles of Rumford.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boxing, racing, gardening, bowling and time spent with his family. He was superintendent of Andover Wood, until his retirement in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hutchins of Rumford; daughter, Tina and husband, Richard Beaulieu, of Livermore Falls; son, Mark Hutchins and wife, Pamela, of Rumford; six grandchildren, Ryane O’Leary and companion, T.J. Bedard, of Canton, Jessica Houston and husband, Darrell, of Rumford, Megan Billings and husband, Butch, of Rumford, Jennifer Hutchins and companion, Mark Cyr, of Rumford, Matthew Hutchins and wife, Brittni, of Rumford and Brian Beaulieu of Livermore; one great-grandchild, Jesse Billings of Rumford; brothers, Walter Hutchins and wife, Sylvia, of Rumford and Earl Nester of Georgia; sisters, Barbara Waters of Ohio, Gene Hunker and husband, Paul, of Florida, Shirley Shover and husband, Pearly, of Livermore, Brenda Child of Canton, Helen Sleeper and husband, Pete, of Bath, Mae Diane Gerhart of Mississippi, and Leta Bush of Ohio.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles Hutchins; mother, Beatrice Prout; one brother, Donald Hutchins; and two sisters, Vivian Jump and Sandra Dubois.
