RUMFORD – Anita G. Morin, 90, of Averill Hill Road in Dixfield, died Monday, May 11, at the Rumford Community Home after a brief illness.

She was born in East Angus, Canada, a daughter of Arthur and Clara (LePage) Boivin.

She moved to Rumford in 1959, and worked at Diamond International, running the box machine for round toothpicks, and later was employed at GH Bass in Wilton, and Rumford.

She enjoyed camping, country music, taking bus trips, and watching the Boston Red Sox.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherley Goff and husband, Alfred, of Dixfield; two sons, Jerry Ferland and wife, Barbara, of Rumford and Edward Ferland and wife, Tammy, of Peru; a brother, Pete Boivin and wife, Arlene, of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Carol Averill, John Goff, Yvette Umbro, Michelle Bolduc and Matthew Ferland; two stepchildren, Casey and Angela Morrisette; and five great-grandchildren, Kirby Averill, Nicholas Goff, Joshua Larsen, Justin Larsen and Francis Bolduc III.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, August Morin in 1996; six sisters, Lucille Durenleau, Leonille “Blackie” Leighton, Eda Lozeau, Yvonne Michaud, Georgia Forbes and Nickie Bosse; and two brothers, Bill Boivin and Clifford Boivin.
