RUMFORD – A memorial Mass with military honors for Edgar J. Gallant was celebrated Dec. 7 at St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “How Great Thou Art,” “Ave Maria,” “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “Amazing Grace.” Readings were done by Doug Ferguson and Maureen Adley. The eulogy was given by Scott Ferguson, and then Gene Boivin and Arthur Boivin read the Fireman’s Prayer. Pallbearers were Doug Ferguson, Brenda Ferguson, Lucas Ferguson and Rick McInnis. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery at a later date. A reception followed in the parish hall. Relatives and friends may pay tribute to Edgar at www.mem.com. Services were under the care of S.G.
