HARRISON – Dolores Marie Smith, 81, of Harrison, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 26, at her residence.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., on Sept. 27, 1925. She was a graduate of Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Mich., and received an associate degree from New Mexico St. University. She married Dan A. Smith, and together they raised two daughters. She had worked for an employment agency. She was also an herbalist. She was an excellent cook and a collector of cookbooks with an extensive collection.

She is survived by her husband, Dan of Harrison; two daughters, Nina Ricklan of Sante Fe, N.M., and Leah Fisher of Alpharetta, Ga.; a stepson, Daniel B. Smith of Conroe, Texas; and three grandchildren, Jason, Jacqueline and Justin Fisher, all of Alpharetta, Ga.
