TOPSHAM – Phyllis L. Williams, 73, of Country Lane, died Wednesday Sept. 28, at her home with her loving children by her side.
She was born in Brunswick, the daughter of William W. and Cecile M Derosiers Mortimer. She attended local schools.
On Jan. 20, 1951, she married Arthur R. Williams at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brunswick. They raised their family in Brunswick and moved to Topsham in their later years.
She loved being in the company of her family and friends, always finding a reason to have a gathering. She loved spending time working in her flower and vegetable gardens, putting vegetables by in the fall. She loved to dance and was an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed shopping, ceramics, swimming and listening to music. Her true passion was the love she shared with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, a member of the Snowshoers’ Club in Lewiston and the Topsham American Legion Auxiliary Post 202.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorette A. and her husband, James E. Holske, of Topsham; three sons, Michael R. and his wife, Sandra M. Williams, of Topsham, Mark S. and his wife, Lisa Williams, of Minot, and Peter A. and his wife, Shari Williams, of Lewiston; two sisters, Ann C. and her husband, Stanley Spaulding, of Topsham, and Joyce L. and her husband, Raymond Dall, of Brunswick; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years in May 2002; and a sister, Nancy C. Coulombe.
