FREEPORT, Ill. – Emma Davis Harris, 88, of 1441 West Demeter Drive, Freeport, Ill., formerly of 24 Earl St., Lisbon Falls, died Monday, April 11.

She was born in Webster, Sept. 19, 1916, the daughter of Lee W. and Agnes T. Judge Davis.

On Feb. 12, 1938, she married Charles H. Harris. He died on June 8, 1985.

She was employed for many years with the Maine Employment Center in Augusta, and later worked and retired from Depositors Trust in Lisbon Falls in 1975. She was educated in Webster elementary schools and graduated from Lewiston High School with the Class of 1934. She later continued her education and attended Bliss Business College in Lewiston.

She was a member of Holy Family Church, now Holy Trinity Parish, in Lisbon, Falls. She also was a member of the YWCA in Freeport, Ill. She enjoyed traveling and fishing.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Norma Faye) Andersen of Freeport Ill.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Lee Beasley; and one sister, Ethel L. Kilbride of Portland.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Benjamin L. Davis, Melville J. Davis and Lee W. Davis Jr.; and two sisters, Elizabeth J. Davis and Mildred T. Finn.
