LEWISTON — The lifelong impact of one’s past will be discussed at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Lifetree Cafe, 1919 Lisbon Road.
The program, “Getting Past … Your Past: And Making the Most of Your Future,” features a filmed interview with author and actor Michael Fosberg, creator of the one-man show “Incognito.”
“I think things happen for a reason and we’re not quite sure what that reason is, whether you want to call it divine intervention, God, or whatever,” says Fosberg. “I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today if things didn’t happen the way they happened.”
During the program participants will have the opportunity share a past event, discovery or decision that reshaped their lives.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Cafe is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
