LEWISTON – April M. Cyr, 37, of Enfield Street in Auburn, died Tuesday evening, March 22, at Central Maine Medical Center with her family at her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Lewiston, June 4, 1967, a daughter of Leo Tanguay and Joan Bertrand. She was educated in Lewiston schools and remained a resident of this community. She achieved certification in the medical field as a certified nurse’s aide and had plans of attaining her degree in nursing.
She was a member of St. Louis Church and in her free time enjoyed dancing and reading; but truly, her greatest passion was the love she had for her daughter, Micaela, the love of her life. She will be sadly missed by all her family, friends and Papa Gene.
She leaves her husband, whom she married in 2000, Paul Cyr, of Lewiston; her daughter, Micaela, of Auburn; her mother, Joan Bertrand and her companion, Gene Tremblay, of Auburn; her father, Leo Tanguay of Sabattus; a sister, Debbie Black of Hebron; a brother, Normand Tanguay of Richmond; and her best friend and sister-in-law, Linda Giroux of Lewiston.
