NORWAY – The Planning Board held a pre-site plan application review hearing Thursday evening at the Norway Town Office for a South Paris restaurant looking to move to Main Street in Norway.
Marcia Nelson, who co-owns Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ with her husband, said that they are looking to move the restaurant from its current location on 3 Nichol St. in South Paris to 230 Main St. in Norway, which previously housed Economy Auto Sales, a used car business.
In order to move the restaurant to 230 Main St., Nelson said that she and her husband would need to apply for a change of use permit.
Chris Farrar, who owns the property at 230 Main St., said that the Nelson’s would have access to both the top and bottom floor of the building.
Nelson added that Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ will “have more than enough parking” at 230 Main St., “since it used to be a used car lot.”
The Planning Board gave Nelson a list of items to gather for their review of the site plan application.
The board meets next on Thursday, Sept. 28.
